The annual Fine Arts Assembly took place last Friday, February 7, and once again it did not disappoint. Each of the Fine Arts programs–band, visual arts, drama, dance, chorus, music technology, and guitar–showcased the talents of our student body and gave us a sneak peek of upcoming spring concerts and performances. Setlist

  • Concert Jazz Band: “Joe Avery’s Blues” by Traditional and the “James Bond Theme” by Monty Norman
  • Symphonic Band: “Star Wars Saga” by John Williams, arranged by Stephen Bulla
  • Visual Arts: Slideshow featuring artwork from the 16th Annual Juried Arts Exhibition (February 28 at 7:00 pm)
  • The Pius Players: “Oklahoma!” and “Farmer and the Cowman” from the spring musical “Oklahoma!” (March 5-7 at 7:00 pm; March 8 at 2:00 pm)
  • Dance Company: “Run” choreographed by Rachel Truitt, music by Daughter
  • Vocal Ensembles: “In the Still of the Night” as recorded by Boyz II Men and “Africa” as recorded by Toto
  • Music Tech: “Honey Bee” music and performance by seniors Sterling Hudson, Jack Massey, and David Stobierski
  • Advanced Guitar Ensemble: “Through the Decades” featuring hit songs from artists such as John Lennon, Rick Springfield, OutKast, and Grouplove
