First Coffee Break event lets students unwind, enjoy music with friends after school

St. Pius X will host the first “Coffee Break” on Thursday, November 10 from 3:10-4:00 pm in the Young Center Lobby. The event will feature music from seniors Parker Scott and Omeno Abutu.

New chorus teacher Mr. Mike Abreu was the creative mind behind the idea as a way for students and teachers to relax and unwind after school with coffee and entertainment. Scott said, “[It] is an honor of course” being asked to perform at the first of hopefully many Coffee Break sessions this year.

“Omeno and I figured out some arrangements for stuff, and we’re super duper excited,” she said about the music they have planned. “It feels a little more intimate and it’s on a smaller scale.”

Make sure you don’t miss the inaugural Coffee Break. No tickets are needed, so come as you are and enjoy a chill environment with your friends while listening to live music from two talented seniors.
