Winter musical “Curtains” opens tonight

Comedic murder mystery is sure to leave audiences laughing

The St. Pius X Spring Musical, “Curtains,” is finally here. Showtimes are February 23-25 at 7:00 pm and February 26 at 2:00 pm.

“Curtains” is a comedic murder mystery with a twist. Set in Boston in 1959, it’s opening night of the Colonial Theatre’s new musical, and the main character has just been murdered. Chaos ensues, and detective Frank Cioffi and the rest of the cast try to solve the mystery.

“It’s a funny show and there is a lot of dancing. So, I’m excited to see what the audience thinks about it,” Director of Theatre Mrs. Tracey Buot said.

“This musical is more unknown than the others we have performed,” Mrs. Buot said, but she went on to add that it won eight Tony Awards in 2007 and encouraged the school community “to come out and support the kids that have worked so hard.”
