After a months-long search that fielded candidates from across the country, the Archdiocese of Atlanta selected Mr. Aaron Parr as the permanent President of St. Pius X.

Mr. Parr, a 2006 graduate of St. Pius and a 2002 graduate of St. Thomas More, has been serving as the school’s interim president since June 2022. The official announcement came from Auxiliary Bishop Joel Konzen at the end of an all-school Mass on Friday, April 21, one that was met with excited cheers and a standing ovation.

In a letter sent shortly after Mass, Superintendent Dr. Diane Starkovich stated, “From the reaction of those in attendance, it is clear that Mr. Parr enjoys the confidence and support of the school community.”

Mr. Parr stated in the same letter, “I would like to thank the Most Reverend Archbishop Hartmayer, Auxiliary Bishop Konzen, and Dr. Starkovich for this opportunity. I am humbled and honored to serve as the next President of St. Pius X Catholic High School.

“St. Pius is a school with a rich history and tradition, and I look forward to working with students, faculty, parents, alumni, and our many stakeholders for years to come. Together, we will continue the mission of preparing students for college and heaven. My family and I are grateful to begin this new journey at a place we know and love. Domini Sumus, We are the Lord’s.”

Mr. Parr has worked at St. Pius X since 2011, first as a history and health teacher, then as the Director of Enrollment. He’s also the head coach of the boys basketball team. He and his wife, Katie Perez Parr ‘07, have two daughters, Emory (4) and Avery (2).
