2024 Homecoming week kicks off today. The overall theme is Disco with out of uniform days all week. Here are the themes for each day and some ideas of what to wear!
Monday, September 23: The theme is Country vs. Country Club and students are to wear jeans or khakis with their costume. If you choose to be “Country,” come dressed in the most redneck outfit you can think of! For “Country Club,” maybe wear a visor, sweater/sweater vest, and seersucker pants.
Tuesday, September 24: The theme is USA Day and students and faculty should wear the most patriotic outfit they own dressed in red, white, and blue! If you own anything with a bald eagle on it or the American flag, that is also perfect. Jeans and khakis are also required for today.
Wednesday, September 25: Athletes vs. Actors is a day to get creative and dress up as your favorite actor or athlete wearing jeans or khakis. Come wearing your favorite jersey or dress as any school-appropriate actor of your choice!
Thursday, September 26: Homecoming T-shirt Day! Come to school wearing your 2024 Homecoming shirt, designed by sophomore Sara Park, along with khakis or jeans. If you did not order a Homecoming shirt, you must dress in your school uniform.
Friday, September 27: Costume Day! Today each grade has its theme to go along with Disco and is allowed to wear a school-appropriate costume. The senior’s theme is Y2K, the junior’s is 90s, the sophomore’s is 80s, and the freshman’s is 70s. Show off your school spirit by going all out for this day! If you do not want to participate in today’s theme, you can come dressed in spirit wear.
The Homecoming dance will be held at St. Pius on Saturday, September 21 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Please do not come any later than 7:30 p.m. because the doors will be closed. Tickets are located on Canvas or in an email from Mrs. Braham and tickets are not sold at the door so be sure to purchase them in advance. Students [boys and girls] should not come to the dance wearing dress shoes and should wear athletic shoes, flip-flops, or slippers. The teachers and Student Council have been working hard to make sure everyone has the best Homecoming and Homecoming week!
