The Advance Drama Company will perform their fall one act play, “The Complete History of Theatre Abridged!”, November 6-7 at 7 pm in the Young Center. 

The play follows William Shakespeare (sophomore Dylan Marlar), Sarah Bernhardt (senior Libby Brownlow) and Constantine Stanislavsky( senior George Lesinski) as they tell you the wild history of the theater. 

When deciding on which one act to perform, Theater Director Mrs. Jami Warren said, “I thought it would resonate with people who love theater.”

The Advanced Company began preparations for the play at the start of the school year.

“We’ve had two rehearsals a week,” said Brownlow, “then some extra Saturday rehearsals.”  

In addition to performing the play at school, they also competed with it twice, most recently on November 2 at the GHSA One Act Play Competition. They placed 2nd in the region, and Brownlow and junior Lauren Baker were awarded All Star Cast.  

“We’ve been incorporating [the judges’] feedback,” said Mrs. Warren, adding that the show is better each time they take the stage.
