As the semester comes to a close, several Fine Arts programs are preparing for their annual holiday shows.

The Christmas Dance Concert on Thursday, December 4 at 7:00 pm will feature performances from the Dance Company, Advanced Dance, and Dance III. dance, band, and Vocal Studios are having Christmas concerts. Songs include “All I Want for Christmas is You” and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” by Mariah Carey, “The Polar Express,” and selections from “The Nutcracker.” 

“[I am] most excited to perform, obviously, and get to get ready and hangout with all my friends. It is super fun to get to talk to everyone,” senior Mia Petersen said.

The Symphonic Band, Concert Jazz Band, Middle School Band, and Percussion Ensemble will perform on Wednesday, December 10 at 7:00 pm. Students have been working hard on fun, upbeat songs such as “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree” and “Oogie Boogie’s Song.”

“My favorite part about the concert is honestly performing,” junior Kearny Prindiville said. “It’s fun to share with people what you’ve been working on, and it’s nice to get recognition for all the hard work you do.”

Finally, the Vocal Studio and SPX Singers have their show on Thursday, December 11 at 7:00 pm. One particular song they’re looking forward to performing is “Bene Bene Emmanuel.” 

“It’s this really exciting piece that we get to perform, and it has a lot of dynamics in it and a really thrilling ending,” junior Holden Parker said.
